LAMBDA USA 2.3 ECU Update

LAMBDA USA ECU software version 2.3 is a major advancement in Type S Engine Control Unit software. Our goal was simple: address every known issue and deliver a calibration that works seamlessly. Version 2.3 elevates performance with stronger low-end and mid-range response, a substantial increase in torque and total power output, and an exhilarating top end that pulls with unmatched consistency. As our understanding of the ECU architecture grows, we deliver increasingly accurate, high-performance, reliable, and feature-rich calibrations. All LAMBDA USA calibrations are built on the latest post PGM-FI recall ECU software for maximum reliability. Version 2.3 is the result of over several thousand hours of stock ECU research and custom modification. Every calibration is built on our unique custom-code architecture, which also forms the basis for our upcoming FlexROM flex-fuel implementation.

With version 2.3, LAMBDA USA will have two options for the end user, Stage 1 or Stage 2. With both variants, we revised the system’s shift-cut behavior. The factory strategy cuts fuel during upshifts in an attempt to speed the shift, this works well at lower power levels. With Stage 2, we disabled this fuel cut to promote stability at higher power levels, this facilitates much more consistent engine performance and shift behavior. With version 2.3 we refined the general shift-cut, hold, and release timing on both variants to improve shift speed while preserving smoothness. These changes allow us to reliably increase boost pressure in the lower gears. We also introduce LAMBDA USA Launch Control, which raises launch-control boost pressure to 6 PSI, while optimizing launch-control RPM, and the systems torque management for a substantial increase in launch performance.
